recognition.

1.	an act of recognizing or the state of being recognized.

2.	the identification of something as having been previously seen, heard, known, etc.

3.	the perception of something as existing or true; realization.

4.	the acknowledgment of something as valid or as entitled to consideration: the recognition of a claim.

why do people desire to be recognized, for the things that they have done?

we, humans, are nothing and yet we want to be important. we want to be something. something may mean being heard or being seen, or even being known. hence we humans do things to earn praises, get good impressions, be known. image becomes very important. with a bad image, who would want to take a look at you even if you have saved the world? image transform into facade.

but we must remember, we are nothing. nothing with Jesus dying on the cross for us. yes i mean die. he saved us from our state of oblivion. we become known. known as a child. precious. lovely. known as a child of God.
